NAIJ.com earlier reported President Buhari had approved the payment of pension to some of the police officers who served in the Biafra police during the 1967-1970 civil war.
The president through the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate on Wednesday, October 18, said about 162 of the retired police officers and 57 of their next of kin will be paid the benefits. The directorate also said the first phase of the payment for the officers pardoned by the former president Olusegun Obasanjo administration will begin this month.
